.....tech/minimal scene taking over (More) now then before....i mean i see djs like angello t/l consisting of so many minimal and techno songs/sound.....as before it was more the electro chug chug just as an example...

I'd say it was even building momentum before 2006. The past year it's really been taking off and your seeing even more DJs jump onto the bandwagon, but the trend had started quite awhile ago. Hell, on LiveSets.com people were bitching that Beyers set from Sud'99 back in 06 was "too minimal"

Within Toronto, it's really been the past year or two that its showing up everywhere, but outside of the city it's been going on for a few years longer.

toronto...always late on trends and hold on to them too long...people are still playing electro house like its the next big thing here:rolleyes:

Yeah people were playing minimal and tech-house in mid 2006... but those were minimal and tech-house DJs...

What this thread about is that fact that now ALL DJs are playing this style or at least incorporating elements of it into their own style.... which has happened more recently

Yeah there was tech/minimal in 2006 but it didnt reach its allstar status that it has in the past year or so
