Yet to make it through a minimal set. is just so boring and repetitive. You have to be really really ed up for that .

Pretty sure I said minimal. I think I'd rather listen to my farts on a loop over minimal. Downloaded that set you linked earlier.....I mean it's borderline retarded.

ive been digging through a lot of minimal music and i must say to me its a bunch of sounds meshed together- like someone had said here (the strangest sounds i must mention)...but in a way i like the way theyre brought and intertwined..i can possibly understand why it can be thought as depressing like someone said but quite frankly i find it sweet and cool..at first i wasnt feeling that much but through digging and searching/listening many sets, i have found a few that bring minimal pleasing and comfortable...that Pan Pot set was pretty tight- sure did enjoy it...but as someone had said, its more of techno. i see minimal as a build up for techno...its more mellow and after hrs type but NOT all...its not that it sucks and whatever, cause thats what i thought at first, but i guess its that not many DJs are familiar with it? i went to a minimal party out last week on fri to this place called reSOLUTE on university pl. by Union Sq. and let me say i REALLY enjoyed the music, the vibe, environment and stuff...its still kinda hard to distinguish cause when a track to someone is considered minimal, to someone else it can be considered techno, tech-house.. etc.

its rare to hear a good well mixed minimal set

I think minimal is like the band Primus. If you like them you don't need to be told because you're already on the bus but if you don't then you probably never will.

I think so. I've heard some minimal bombs and they are pretty sick, but for me it's far and inbetween. And I def don't have the patience for sets. I can stomach more of the techier stuff. It's an acquired taste I guess, kind of like ******* or goatse.

I definitely like full on techno like that Pan-Pot set more than I like minimal techno.

The link is in the 3rd or 4th post. It is a bit more minimal than I have heard from them, but nothing like the Half Hawaii LivePA.

minimal is cool based on how its used...a gd minimal dj knows how to loop and sample sounds making the tracks compelte...by themselves they often get reptitive or sound too weak...loop a song with a bunch of tracks like how richie and beyer do it, the sound is crazyyy

i like techno mixed in with minimal...i dont think there are many big name djs strictly playing minimal by itself...

minitek is gonna be interesting...cant wait to hear all the new tracks
