By the way, depending on where you live I have a pair of HD25's if you want to have a listen to them?

Up to yourself.

If i had the chance to buy another set of headphones I'd give the 7506's a go.

But I just bought myself a Xone 92 and for an extra 10'er I got a 'free' set of Xone XD53's. Should be interesting to see what they sound like.

Well if you're ever up in Dublin before you buy your headphones let me know and I'll let you have a listen to the HD25's and at that stage I'll probably have the Xone XD53's as well.

(though i'll probably keep using the HD 25's as they are a brilliant set of cans)

b0p.

I agree that the HD25's do sound nice indeed, I just didn't like the way that they sat on your ears (instead of going over them).

Different strokes.

Another plug for 7506. Best buy for the quality, durability and price.

Though HD25 are the cat's ass
-Yohan, proud owner of both of these cans ;)

I know what you mean but with the circum aural or whatever the ones that cover your whole ear are called, i was afraid of my ears heating up too much. But then you do take them on and off.

This thread is bad news, i do not need another set of cans and will not purchase a set of 7506's.. well maybe in a while..

I bought mine from a place in tallaght i think. City sounds or something. You're better off ordering them from the UK now though with the favourable exchange rate.

Has anyone tested/used the Ultrasone HFI-2200's?? How is it in terms of noise cancellation? I geuss compared to the Ultrasone DJ1's.

i said it before and i'll say it again

those who use the 7506 won't recommend anything else, those who recommend something else haven't used the 7506s

that's just a generalization but so far it seems to hold true for now

i love the hd-25, i would buy them but the cups are too small for my taste

my 7506s are slutty as hell after years of abuse and they still keep ticking, and i mean years of rigorous club abuse, drunken slamming them in my bag and everything

i'm finally buying a new pair of cans and i'm getting a new pair of 7506s

i bought ultrasone hfi-680's when i got fed up with the sony mdr-7506's ear piercing highs and the insides of the cans rubbing my ears so much, i had to stop using them because my ears were so irritated (the pads aren't nearly thick enough for me).

anyway, the sound quality on the ultrasones is the best i've heard in my life. just incredible. the fit could be better if the pads were a bit larger. isolation isn't as good as on sennheiser hd280pros for example, but it's better than on mdr-7506's for sure. one downside is that, the cable is not coiled.

ultrasone has three lines of can, the hfi, pro and dj. they all look different, but certain ones are quite similar internally. i decided not to get the dj1's or the dj1 pros as IMO they look like crap 5€ headphones and i couldn't pay so much for something like that. the pro line headphones are all blue and look ing horrible too, but i could have bought any of them if they had been in stock and not out of my price range when i was in the market for new cans.

if both were the same price, would you rather buy the xone xd 53 or the 7506?
