i'm a fan of estancia cabernet. it's a california wine. about 10 or 11 bucks a bottle...$9/$10 a glass at a restaurant.

For the cost of ONE drink at a restaurant it cost the same for the entire bottle in a store? :stongue: :stongue:

it's funny you quoted me and said that. i was going to post in this thread just now to say nevermind it's $17 a bottle at the store. i just went to the grocery store to pick some up and saw it and was like "oh damn nevermind". must have been confusing it with another bottle that i buy for $10/$11. |

That is pretty much how it is with all alcohols. 2 beers at the bar is a 6pack, 2 shots at the bar is a bottle, 2 drinks at the bar is a bottle. |

Either you buy cheap alcohol or the bar charges way too much. |

Everything here alcohol wise is like that. $6 beers, $10-13 drinks and shots. (This is all imports and "top shelf" stuff, but lower the prices a couple dollars on the hard alcohol and it still rings true, including in canada) |

One time my friend and I were pretty wasted in a pub downtown. After about 2 large pitchers worth of beer and a good douzen shots, we though; ", we're gonna have to pay for all this stuff". It just so happends a bunch of guys were playing a poker tournament in the lounge and we decided to join them. The rest of it is a huge blur because neither of us remember anything that happened during the game. All we know is that he won first place, I finished 3rd, and we pissed off a lot of sober people to get there. It paid for most of our tab though. :stongue: |

Tabs are tricky. You go all night without paying a dime. You drink and drink and drink until you're blind, last call comes around, order your 2-3 drinks and get your tab. You then click in..ah ..NOW I PAY. :( |
