How long can the Governments keep bailing out these massive companies with major loans , Its going to be a long time for the Markets to recover and I dont think they will until the property market has stabilised both in the USA & UK. Nobody wants to loose money as you can tell people are selling shares like its end of the world as if I had shares in HBOS I would be cashing out as I dont think I would be alive to see that money ever again.

The Domino effect has started and nobody can stop it , hide all of your cash in your Mattress safest bet , but dont smoke in bed !

what it really means is the same thing it meant 80yrs ago. this game of financial lending is played by the big boys. they take huge risks for the hope of an even bigger pay off.

they do this with our deposists and with investors stock monies. yes lehman probably has 200+ private equity firms that will fall alongside it but the banks are already pitching congress saying this will be devasting to the common tax payer/economy/standard of living you have to bail us out!

the reality is the federal reserve was created to make sure the financial market was stable but by creating it they made sure banks would never full go under. we are still paying for banks that were bailed out in the 70s. because there is a saftey net for the big boys the pressure is on for the MOST amount of profit. so these smaller banks that try and get up there against the giants have to risk EVERYTHING in order to play the game.

its a big problem, i think we're about to see the financial system go down to the giant 5 we're use to. from there they will either monopolize it all (buy out whoever is left) or merge with larger int'ls and be done with the american dollar.

tough times ahead, the housing market is about to hit rock bottom.
