Got a new HP tower yesterday, runs blazing fast.
Was surprised that it didn't have too much bloatware.
What virtualization solution are you guys using under Vista 64? Vmware isn't working for me since some of their drivers are unsigned.
My goal is to have a vm machine for browsing and executing all the cracks/keygen/warez :D |
Don't bother with virtualization for that, just use Sandboxie.

And AJ, any idea about the CPU in the next-gen Mini-Note 2133? I hope it's the VIA Nano (C8)... |

Is it a HP Compaq dcXXXX or dpXXXX model? If so, those are our commercial models and meant for business. Presarios and Pavillions are consumer models, so have a lot of extra crap added on for n00bs. |
Its HP M9340F, its not a laptop but a tower.

No worries. As fun as dicking around with virtualization is, Sandboxie is just so much easier for what you wanna do. |

| I've been running x64 Vista Ultimate for the last few days and it's incredibly fast and stable. |

| Acrobat, if it matters to you, isn't the greatest on x64. Major functionality works, but minor bugs are irritating. I haven't touched on it in a while, but things like window resizing never worked properly. Oh, and the printer drivers for the distiller never worked either in my testing. The reason I guess I say that one was minor is because I had an alternate printer I could use. This was early in the Acrobat 8.0 Pro release cycle, so it may be fixed now. |
