Bands with drug/drinking problems

It fails to surprise me how ridiculous some of these musicians are. Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones whacks a guy with his guitar... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dv1bM0pp_o4

Lars from Metallica is just a flat out nut... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmHx2blktwU

And here we have some unknown struggling bands who can't handle their liquor... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF6VEwa9JR0

Don't see many DJ's getting out of hand.. or maybe we just don't hear about it.
stren

You're obviously paying attention to the wrong DJs.

Who cares what they do?

I have seen plenty of DJs totally wrecked. You just have to see them backstage before or after they DJ. They *try* to keep their composure most of the time for the gig.

One night I was playing two sets, one from 10-11:30, and another from 12:30-2.

Following the first I found myself completely mashed thanks to excessive amounts of shots and drinks being handed to me.

I realized something needed to happen before I tried to play my second set, and began to make my way to the bathroom only to realize I wasn't going to make it.

I raised the empty glass in my hand as if I were taking a drink and just let loose inside of it, being sure to toss the evidence in the first garbage can I saw.

Made it to the bathroom, water on the face, and I was good as new. The second set might have been one of the best I've ever played out.

Hmm, maybe the advice I gave to a newbie in the Production Studio wasn't so bad after all:

Always drink at least six shots of whiskey immediately before producing, and three or four shots for each hour after that. This will loosen you up and allow you to express yourself like a true artist.

i love to drink when i write :(
if i get writers block my solution is usually drink a bit more
then i get distracted cause im' not sober and go play games or something, then close the game and see ableton there with nothing accomplished, get really sad and mad at myself for failing, and then i'm in the right mood to write :gsmile:
