I find it funny how certain people on this board just totally freak out when someone says anything less than perfect about the guv... its just a nightclub at the end of the day

I am not arguing that the guv is not a great club, I am just saying that if the land was eventually bought by condo developer people, they could basically just pick the guv up and move it to another location (not into the club district) and it really wouldnt make that much of a difference

freal brah? wow lez do dat...i'll pick up one side u pick up the other

You have to keep in mind that for a lot of the people on this board, partying is akin to a part-time job, and for some it is a part-time job. ;)

DUDE!!

I geeve guv's atmosphere of late, but i keep on getting pulled back...certain people, personalities, memories and epic feel on certain nights is literally one of a kind....

furthermore, it is a part time job, the only thing not making it a full time job is my full time job...myself and other put in shift work on the dancefloor and sometimes we slack off and take extra long breaks on the patio...If the night is right i'm alwaysup for some OverTIme..

that underpass is the first underpass east of yonge. since there is no other street going to the lake between yonge and jarvis it makes sense, especially since the picture was taken in 1929 and the underpass was built in 1927.

right now, queens quay has a bit more land between it and the waters edge. so i just guessed that it would be closer on that pic because they filled in the shore a bit more in the later years. but that's roughtly the same shoreline we have now.

here, i added more streets.

crappy shot, but if you get it, it's roughly the same view from atop the royal york.

Just go to FW...Don't ever go back to Guv....We'll all be happy....

Only an idiot would think that the location isn't perfect....

I only go to the Guv because you work there.

If they were to pick up Guv and move it somewhere else it wouldn't be the same. I think they'd just try to do something completely different by that time.

Sometimes when they move a store location to a different part of a mall, it never really is the same as it was. I could be wrong.

Maybe clubbers would end up going to another club somewhere else afterward.

it would never be the same....so many factors involved in why it wouldn't..

like everything else in life, it will one day come to an end...and it will be a big loss to the scene in Toronto.... when Industry closed down..things changed dramatically...and have never been the same since...:sadgreen:
