Greyhound now has a policy where they charge you an extra $10 per bag that is stored on the bus.
After all this crap, shouldn't they be slashing prices? :clown: |

Well the thing is it seems like it is a sign of the times, even tho that sounds stupid. Years ago, bars didn't have metal detectors and scanners and there were very few stabbings and then alla sudden stabbings and shooting erupted here in Edmonton and the bars got wands and whatnot. I would like to think that I know that the passengers on a bus i'm riding 5 hrs with doesn't have a knife on them that they could stab me for no reason. That's the problem with these incidents is that they are completely random. |

very true and it sucks indeed but high profile acts like the beheading and even Columbine have spurred on copycats, imo. Somehow, somewhere, somebody will be inspired to do something similar. |

Even if they did have metal detectors Greyhound could run into issues in regards of the bus drivers being able to search people. Women may have a fit if a male bus driver goes to search them...throwing out the good old "morally wrong" card. |

Oh nothing's changing ffs. It's only TWO occurrences, not even enough to establish any sort of a pattern or correlation or anything. Not to mention statistically speaking... but I'm not even going to bother going there.
