Pretty good night at Ruby for Deadmau5. Lots of people, but not abolutely insanely packed. Joel played some different versions of a bunch of his tracks but between like 2 and 3 he began to put me to sleep with a lot more trancey sound.
I thought it was kinda lame to totally kill the music right before going on...probably a DM request. Side note: Alain's set from what I saw was great...about 25/30 minutes of some really cool tracks I had not heard before. Hey Alain, I'd love to see the tracklisting from last night. |

lemme know when someone invents a way to seamlessly swap monitors / mains from 2 different mixers on a single FOH connection and ill be more than happy to mix er in.
ps, great job on the set Alain, thoroughly enjoyed that set, glad i came early to have a listen. |

well it is still lame regardless of whether it is possible or not.
i noticed the same thing during a Hawtin/Dubfire b2b. is that how it always is? or is it just a limitation of certain venue? |

well, dubfire / hawtin both use different mixers... just like me n alain last night, he was on a DJM800 and i've been using a xone4d lately... more often than not, clubs dont have mixing consoles... just usually a stereo feed to the amps / limiters or whatever... so if you want to run 2 mixers the same night, you either run one into the other... or swap the cables. it's just the way it is most times. |

NIGHT WAS INSANE. GREAT VIBE ALL NIGHT LONG. WAS INCREDIBLE TO FINALLY SEE MAU5 LIVE!!! I loved the live edits he did and wow what a night.
