i'm going to echo CONNERMAN2000. i bought it last night and i can't think of any reason why it doesn't deserve a 10/10 either. i have wipeout 1, xl, and 3 for psone from back in the day and i have wipeout pure for psp so i'm definitely a big fan of wipeout.

this games just amazing and gets better the more you play it, i hope it's not slept on just because it's a download-only game and you don't see it in stores. i'll have to put some mp3's on my ps3 so i can try the custom soundtrack like it was mentioned by Thomas Datt

I wanna build onto this because, as unfortunate as it may seem, it will happen. This game won't get the success it deserves simply because it can't be seen on store shelves. I don't want to invite a digital distribution vs. hard copy debate, but anyone knows that the digital distribution part of the scenario is just too young to bring on successes that we see with games that people can buy at stores, such as the Grand Theft Auto's, the Halo's, the Metal Gear Solid's, etc.

The first 5 minutes I put into this, my initial impressions were not along the lines of this being an incredible game. It seemed like an ordinary futuristic racer, along the lines of what Fatal Inertia and F-Zero have already done in the past (many may argue that these two have ripped off Wipeout in the past, but resort to my first post, this is essentially my first real Wipeout experience) But the game grew on me. The tight turns you do when pushing the shoulder buttons, the necessity of hitting every single one of those speed bursts, choosing the location of using your speed burst item during the time trial...all of these small little things that are trivial on paper, come into play when mastering this game. Every single 5 minutes I pour into this, the more addicted I get.

An awesome game.

And Thomas...man you've made this game a whole helluva lot better.

Its actually really easy to make your own soundtrack, or playlist rather. On your ps3 xmb, copy songs from a cd, memory stick, or whatever, onto the hard drive. They should be under "music". Then make your own playlist out of the songs. Start the game and go to audio options and choose your custom playlist. It will end up playing the songs you put in yourself. You can also choose (for those long ass songs) to continue the song in the next race or races. For instance you finish a race before the song is over, then the following race will continue from where the song ended last.

I race to some new trance tunes currently on the market, which is fun and exciting, while keeping the soundtrack fresh.

That is truly awesome.

I think I'm definitely gonna have to get this.

Thomas, making a folder is so annoying on the XMB. Was trying to add tracks. I have one added, but I'm getting problems putting the actual audio file into an exising folder. It also seems there's no way to rename an "Untitled" folder name for some reason O_o

I'm enjoying the game quite a bit as well. And I love winning trophies - which is funny because I originally didn't really care about trophies.

Fun!

Can you make a playlist of tunes in the memory stick? I have a 40GB PS3 and erasing all day the tunes is tiring.

F*CK YEAH!!!! I've mastered the old tracks forward and backwards..been waiting for some new content. I wish they'd release it now..

zomg..the expansion includes 8 new tracks (16 including mirrors!)

"Looking for some more excitement in your Wipeout Fury HD? Well, Sony has just announced the details of its expansion pack, which will include another 8 tracks, doubling what the game has already, plus another 13 ships. That's more ships than was originally in the game."
