Why should we trust Sarah Palin to protect our interests in the Middle East from a nuclear Iran?
she's a friend of Israel. she respects current treaties. she is an advocate for self-determining governments.

And what is it exactly that she's accomplishing before noon everyday that makes her a good candidate for Vice President of the United States.
it was a figure of speech. get a grip.
metaphorically though i think it's fairly accurate considering who i directed it against. problem?

In case you haven't noticed, being a mother of 5 isn't exactly something you put on your resume when running for the second highest executive office in the country.
of course its not on a resume. who the f**k in this campaign has submitted a resume running for POTUS? whether or not you think its a qualifier is your opinion. i'd argue it's a minority opinion, but it's just your opinion nonetheless.
conservatives look at that aspect of her life probably a lot more differently than you do. it is a testament to her character? in the uniqueness of her mere candidacy i think it is. if you don't think so, fine. just don't try and flip the argument around and use the fact that she is a mother of five against her. you can't have it both ways.
Robert Kennedy had 9 very young children while running for the first slot. as a female in this day and age i think she represents many things conservatives look for in getting exited about this election. it's something i thinks she does an honest service to.

is there any issue, in your view, that Sarah Palin is more knowledgeable on than yourself?
energy policy.
wildlife and envivonmental conservation.
special needs children.
economic policy at the senior administrative level.
large government budgetary issues at the senior administration level
primary education.
faith-based social programs
these are just things off the top of my head. i could probably come up with some more but this is my thread.
quote:
Do you think she has more foreign policy knowledge than you do?
i don't know. i don't even see how that question applies really. off the bat, i think we both have vaguely similar world views and i'm confident that she is at least humble enough to know what is relevant and whats not.
this foreign policy metric that you and other Obama supporters have designed around the VP slot is wholly irrational and has never been supported by any historical precedent. so i don't particularly buy into it as hard as you do. i see it as reaching.

I'll take a gaffe in the form of Biden publicly disagreeing with Obama over a dunce of a Vice President who would lead us to oblivion should anything happen to the man with horrible judgment who chose her.
Disagreeing is one thing, gaffing amongst international peers is quite another...

Iran isnt Iraq. They are ALOT more powerful then Iraq and could fight with much bigger fire power.Isreal knows that and thats why they cant attack Iran alone.

who the hell is george galloway and why the hell would anyone care what he thinks?
could you at least admit that in a full-blown air strike by the US Iran would be nearly destroyed? you have so much confidence in your own state you seem to overestimate its strength. You seem to forget that if the goal is simply to destroy targets within iran no troops would have to go in harms way. sure, there would be consequences with small time terrorists, but that doesn't decrease the ability to kick the out of iran.

That's funny because I could have sworn those two were at war at one point for EIGHT years...

This is the same attitude you Americans had before you went to Iraq. You simply underestimated the situation and 5 years later you are still there trying to win the war.
You really think Iran is gonna be a easier mission then Iraq? dont forget when the US invaded Iraq there was no Iraqi millitary fighting them back. This wont be the case with Iran believe me.It will be a full on battle with militia style warefare.with attacks towards the Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Lets even assume you are right and the US stards droping bombs inside Iran.Again your soldiers will be in harms way since there are thousands of them in Iraq and Iran has a whole lotta missiles directed at them.
Realistically it is no win situation for the Americans.

i agree. but not for the same reasons you harbor. i see it as america harming its international relations, not because iran is going to destroy america or whatever distorted view you have about iranian power.
