i personally hate florida because of all the crazy people.
Prototrance
Didn't know it was.....

I used to use it exclusively before I switched to Cubase. A mate stayed with it and has the latest version with all the trimmings, he makes it sound as good as the results I get from Cubase.

I only use it now for audio sampling as I'm 'between soft samplers' at the minute. Kontakt beckons methinks.......

The older FL versions had a few things that I didn't like, one of the main ones was the automation being manual - relying on physical input from the user using a midi control device to 'map' the automation. Steady hand needed, although you could correct it afterwards but it was tedious. This got fixed in later versions with automation using plots like Cubase, Logic etc.

I hated the mixer as well. But I still love the delay and the phasers and flangers. Basic but they had a really nice sound, pity I can't use them anymore.

Yep. Ffs, Ozgur Can uses it. Does he not have good sound quality? :p

And, even just using 3xOsc (or, to get fancier, Sytrus), you can make brilliant tracks.

Saying it has " sound quality" is just laughable.

I was even talking about FL4. Who knows what you can do with the program now... Recently I've heard nothing but good stuff about it.

I've been using FL Studio ever since it was FruityLoops version 3.0. When 4.0 rolled around, it started giving Logic, Acid, and Reason a run for their money as far as fully functional sequencers and supporting every VST out there. If you know what you're doing in any of the 4 programs I mentioned, there are no limits.

Fruity was the first program that I used. It was great back then and is probably way better now. I just wish they made a version for Mac, that's the only reason why I am not using it now. After reading this thread, I went to the fruity site just to check it out and I must say that sytrus synth sounds awesome!!!

whoa, i use FL myself because of many reasons but i kinda think it has that "veiled" sound which i dont like, even at Demo songs from pro producers which comes with the app.
Guess it kinda works for Can's music.

Never used more than one or two VST\I with it though.

I might know what you mean about "veiled sound" but you should explain further.
