Better/Best Days of Week for Ibiza Clubs?
View this Thread in Original format

I'm going to be in Europe next summer (July 1 - July 15, 2009) (Wed-Wed), and I have a lot of flexibility of where/when I'll be.

For Ibiza, which days of the week are better than others for the clubs? I doubt we'll be able to stay 7 days there, but probably more 4-5.
(if you want to use what happened this year as a guideline, that's cool too)

I don't need to worry about laying at a beach in Ibiza; we'll be going elsewhere for that.

Thanks.

i'd say sunday-thursday. this year these were the main parties *** this is not a complete list but the big parties off of the top of my head ***

sunday = space
monday = cocoon, roger sanchez, dc10 (if open next year)
tuesday = armada, carl cox, defected
wed = morillo, monza
thurs = FMIF, Danny Tengalia
friday = Manumission, Wonderland, Pure Pacha
sat = DefMix, Hed Kandi, Matinee. FYI Sat is the slowest nite actually for big parties.

cool1g pretty much wrapped it up for this year. but yeah, you have to do We love @ Space on Sundays, Cocoon at Amnesia on Mondays, Space for Carl Cox and friends on Tuesdays and we went to Privilege on Wednesday for Meganite for Mauro Picotto, Marco Carolo, Adam Beyer and Joel Mull. and then the rest of the week we went to Space for Just Be @ Space with danny teneglia and friday was Pacha for Sander K. like he said saturdays are pretty slow, and for sure Monday for DC10 circo loco but from what i hear it was done after this year. worst news ever!!!!!! best party by far and the vibe was insane!!!!

i was lucky and was there for 9 days so i got 2 weekends in and took i a lot!!! i'm going back in a couple years with quite a few friends. you'll have so much fun!!!!

Depends if you are looking for house, trance, techno etc.

I went to

Sunday - We love Space

Tuesday - Sebastian Ingrosso @ El Divino

Wednesday - Morillo @ Pacha

Thursday - Above and Beyond, Ferry Corsten & Eddie Halliwell @ Amnesia

Friday - Manumission @ Privelege (I know that moved to Amnesia)

Saturday (morning) Matinee @ Space

This is prob Ibiza's best website

Awesome; thanks for the advice for sure.

I was looking at 07/06-07/10 (Mon-Fri), but based on this, I'll definitely move the arrival date to Sunday.

I'll be in Barcelona beforehand, so it'll be easy to get to Ibiza that day and go out.

We're going to Mykonos after Ibiza; i've spent the last 2 hours looking at flights trying to get home in one day. It looks like that I'll need to fly from Mykonos to Athens the night before, spend the night, and then fly back to LA the next day.

Look into a Ferry. There are a couple that hop from island to island...don't think the ferry ride I took was more than a couple hours long.

In my old age, I'm lazy :)

It seems so much easier to fly IBZ-MAD-ATH-JMK rather than stopping in Athens and taking the ferry.

However, I'll look into a boat from Ibiza to Mykonos; that would be sweet.

definatly arrive sunday, sun-thur contains the best parties of the week as already mentioned.

A ferry to mykonos from ibiza? That is quite a distance for a ferry, you would prob need more a cruise, which wouldnt depart from ibiza. You can get a cheap ferry from athens to the greek isles, i would reccomend the day cruise that goes out of there and visits 2 or 3 of the isles and can include mykonos.

ps bring lots of us dollars

Sunday through Wednesday was the best bet for the summer of 2008.

There will however be some significant changes for 09. Firstly, Circo Loco may move to a different day - either by setting up shop as an afterhour party at Privilege on a different night of the week until the DC10 ban runs its course. The bad news for DC 10 is that because Circo decided to defy the ban by opening up this summer, the Government has now doubled the fine from 300 to 600k Euros. This means that the location will be out of commission for some time, and Circo Loco and possibly Pandemonium will move elsewhere (probably Privilege).

Another change for next year is that Carl Cox's night may move to another night or go away entirely. (This is the rumour at the moment).

All of this said, Sunday through Thursday will probably still remain the best time to get to the Island. Arrive Sunday afternoon, drop the bags at the hotel, run down to Bora Bora to get pissed up prior to We Love Space. Party through the night, sleep til noon, get some sun and then get ready for Cocoon on Monday night.
