we all know the biggest trade of the year this year was the bulls-kings trade, with john salmons and brad miller going to the bulls and andres noicini, drew gooden, cedric simmons, and michael ruffin going to the kings. salmons and miller give the bulls solid defense and an edge they didn't have before the trade.

before the series started, i saw the bulls winning this in 7, but now, i think the celtics will close this out tonight. they just have that extra umph over the bulls right now.

Salmons and Miller are ok, but how is that a bigger trade than Billups going to Denver and transforming them from a pack of underachievers to a legitimate contender?

that was the stupidest trade of the year. Team leader for a team junkie. Hahaha. Pistons wanted to mix it up but did not realize Iverson is old and not a team leader. I miss him scoring 30+ while shooting 8/32 or worse :) He took Sixers to the championship in 2001 but when he was much younger.

He is like Elton Brand. Gets hurt and your team players better.

As for the nuggets. First time out of the first round in quite sometime. Billups is def a true team leader for any team.

Notes:
Can't wait to see Artest get schooled by Kobe(Black mumba which Charles Barkey Calls him ??) a couple of times in this upcoming series

Bulls and Celtcis!! Sad thing is Boston has never and I mean never lost a game 7 series in their entire team life so I think its Celtics unless they play like and bulls keep the overtime momentum.

yeah we can say the Nuggets trade for Billups was crucial, but I believe if the Nuggets didn't make that trade, they still would have made the playoffs as most likely a 7 or 8 seed, and get ousted in the first round ...... again.

The miller and salmons trade was huge for the bulls. They went from being a mediocre 25-30 win team to a up and coming .500 team with a lot of energy, better defense, and an edge. Nothing to take away from Billups, but this Bulls team is a lot different than before the all star break in my opinion.

rumors are out Garnett could pull a "Willis Reed" and play in Game 7. :wtf:

Boston went 7 games last year in Round 1 and won in the finals.
This year even if they beat the Bulls they will not even make it to Finals. I do hope the Bulls win. I still want to see the Hawks get into round 2.

Nuggets over Mavs in 6.

Mavs are a waste in the playoffs or unbeatable. Last few years waste but this year no joke. Dirk and company have the ability but when they made the championship a few years back and lost they were like Lebrons CAVs when they made it and lost 0-4!!. A child in a big mans game but this time he is much more exp. and they are like the Lakers but 5 % less.

The nuggets are good but still I don't see a strong team. Just a determined one who made it out of round 1 against the lost hornets. You need strength and will for a ring.

Its like Rocky Vs The russian d00d in #4 but rocky did not train against the russian steriods and advance training sessions. :)

that was a surprise to us, but I kind of saw that coming, with Golden St winning the season series 3-1 on Dallas before the playoffs. Golden st was just the draw Dallas did not want.

So they improved by five games? Is .500 really that much of an accomplishment in the East? :conf:

I think the Bulls are doing better than anyone expected, yes, but I still think they kind of suck. Boston always comes out flat in the first round, and without Garnett and Powe their bench is as deep as igk's kiddie pool. Perkins has played poorly, and Pierce is missing shots he would have made when he was a bit younger. Did Miller really add anything Nocioni didn't already give? Salmons is alright, but he's still streaky as hell and doesn't play any defense.

Denver beat a good New Orleans team by 58. As loaded as the top 8 in the West are, that never happens. With the exception of the Cavs, I don't see anybody in the East even coming close to the remaining teams in the West (Dallas, LA, Denver, or even Houston).

All this smack talk about the mavs... they kinda suck but they are one of my fav teams... I am a big fan of dirk, kid (even though he is old as and needs to retire cause he kinda sucks) and terry.
