It has nothing to do with this and everything to do with the elfreak/nefardec/clovis/Az/RJT/lucid/etc circle jerk. You could start by listening to any of the mixes outside of your little social circle.
The popularity of a DJ Promotion thread is directly proportional to the amount of posts a user has on this site. |
I doubt that. Lord knows whenever I go in there and see 9/10 sets posted have "progressive" or "trance" in the title, I'm not exactly compelled to check any of them out. How much difference can there be between them all?
It may be TranceAddict, but if you want to stand out on the the DJ Promotion board, you're going to have to have something unique to offer, otherwise you just blend into all the rest of the "progressive" "trance" sets. |

lol
i think the sets for the most part within that circle jerk though are pretty darn good though - i'll keep listening because I know I can expect something I will probably like
and i post a ton (never really in the cor, maybe that's my problem? :gsmile: ) no one ever really paid much attention to the few mixes i put up. just got to make it better - if you make it good people will listen |

an old one i still listen to time to time.
...and to anyone complaining, do you think it is possible many of us actually listen to a lot more sets than we actually comment on? (speaking for myself)
sometimes there are sets that are very hard to comment on. |

one of my recent favorites was this one
bubbleguuum - b0rken [slow house/breaks/mnml]
slow, sexy, deep. |
that's got my vote as well. i always listen to it.

I downloaded all of his old sets before he lost his domain. In case anyone is interested, let me know and I'll upload any set you'd like.
Also, he's still making sets. He has a new domain http://www.mixedsessions.com/mixes.htm |

| Okay, I'm moving outside of the "elfreak/nefardec/clovis/Az/RJT/lucid/etc circle jerk" referenced by TranceAustin and off the top of my head recommending sets by Tony (Montana), Jan Henrik (Sand Leaper), Ian, Yohan, Karim (NrG2Nfinit or whatever his user id is) if any of his sets are still available, Mikey Mike; Boomers and Whiskers have put together some fun sets but I guess Boomers isn't mixing this year and I don't think Whiskers posts his sets on TA. Monty used to put together some good stuff but I guess he doesn't post mixes anymore, either. Some of my favorite sets are by Neo but here again, I haven't seen him post sets lately. Mart puts together good stuff and Nik used to back in the days, for all I know he still does... |
