my wife really wants a game for ps3 but it has to meet her standards: fun, cute, and not too hard or involved. something she can just pick up and play without having to learn to much. does anyone know of any good recommendations?
some games she likes:
spongebob squarepants battle for bikini bottom for xbox
tetris (all versions)
puzzle bobble
mario games
basically fun puzzle/strategy games that aren't too involved or impossible and action-adventure games like sonic/mario/etc that aren't too involved or so big that you get lost, she loses interest when she gets lost in a game :p
she has her eyes on Little Big World when it comes out but we'll rent it first to make sure it's something she would like, it definitely exceeds the cute factor

Yeah I was gonna say Little Big Planet should be good. Also check out some of the 10.00 games online like "Elephunk." It's a cool little puzle game where you try to build a bridge sturdy enough to lead a herd of elephants across chasms.

thanks for the recommendation, looks something like Lemmings we'll have to give it a shot

Most chicas like bust-a-move. Dunno if it's available on PS3 as a download or not. You could always grab the PSX version as well.

Little Big Planet is going to be a great game. I preordered this game couple months ago and i cant wait for this! Plus it is being beta test by people right now..but i didnt get in damn. I heard it was good.

LittleBigPlanet will be a winner without a doubt.
As for a cute game, try out Super Rub-A-Dub on the PSN. It's actually pretty fun.
Also remember that the PS3 is backwards compatible with the PSone, and maybe even PS2 if you scored yourself an older model (20GB, 60GB, MGS4 80GB)

Yeah. My friend goes to Parsons in NYC for computer design and his division in the school was chosen to be beta testers for it. When the game launches there's gonna be a selection of levels online designed by Parson students. He said it's awesome.

sounds like LittleBigPlanet is the way to go. i bought Elefunk for her last night from the Playstation Store for like $5, she's digging it, good recommendation. i showed her the video for Super Rub-A-Dub and i think i'll have to grab that one for her too, she thought it looked promising. i wasn't able to find a Monkey Ball game for PS, looks like it's a Nintendo based game but i did see a commercial for the iPhone the other day that showed a Monkey Ball game on it. i guess you play it by tilting the phone like alot of other games for it, cool game to have on your phone if you have an iPhone
thanks for the recommendations, you all know your stuff. i agree with the Bust-A-Move reply too, i used to have that for Sega Saturn and she used to LOVE that game. that and Baku Baku Animal haha

The game received an absolutely horrible review from IGN. Something like a 2.9. If you know their reviews, a game almost has to work for a review that bad.
And yet, I found the game easily amusing. You control a duck via the Sixaxis (in other words, tilting the controller) and collect other ducklings in a maze-like pool. Sharks swim about and try and kill you and your ducklings. You avoid them. Bam, that's the game, simple as but entertaining enough for the casual gamer that doesn't play PS3 that much that I'm sure she'll get a kick out of it and be able to understand what the hell to do.
