Yes.
Ok, Cosmic Gate were good, not as good as Marco V though...:p
Good seeing you in line. :)
Also, good times partying it up with everyone and meeting new people. :D |

Cosmic Gate were great.
I left early after Marco V started up, wasn't feeling his first few tracks, apparently I didn't stick around long enough to let him warmup, poop.
Had plenty of space until about 1 o-clock then the usual Guv sardine-can effect set in, . |

I'm a marco v fan too, but i didnt even have the intention of staying for him.
I went for cosmic gate last night and they definitely did not disappoint. I was ready to leave right after they were finished.
From you guys that stayed, if you say that marco V's set was better than cosmic gate's......wow. Last night must have been a hell of a night for everyone that pulled through till morning.
The night goes down as one of my favs in recent memory even though I bumped into very minimal people that i knew.
Where the hell was everyone? |

got in a bit late due to nuit blanche. so i missed the first 30 min of cosmic gate's set but if it was anything like the rest of it, i didn't miss much.
wasn't expecting much from them and got exactly that. no real flow, a good track here and there. by the end, wasn't really feeling it at all, even though i was trying. plus the crowd was in horrible. no respect at all. so i decided to leave my spot by the left speaker. while i roamed, met jamie at the same time they started to play exploration of space, which was the only good track of the night from them.
marco v started out with some interesting tracks which got me grooving. since i've never seen him before, i had no idea what to expect. thankfully i was pleasantly suprised as he torn it up. i felt that he actually built up his set from start to finish while dropping some bombs during the peak of the st and then two at the end to finish it off. i had a great spot in the back between the two speakers near the entrance with all the asians which was fantastic. great sound, great view, no one pushing you every 5 seconds, and definitely a lot cooler because of the air coming from the entrance.
in the end marco v > cosmic gate easily, which means i'll probably go back to see him again when he comes back. can't say the same for CG though. |

Great review. Great minds think alike. :D
(Although CG did play a few really good tunes, it was just all over the place though flow wise.) |

My quick review before I consume more wine for the day....
First time experiencing Marco V and have to say he is very unique from all the other trance DJs - he had a very very futuristic techy edge to his set that kept building up and pounding back on the dancefloor. There were times when the music + lasers + fog would just consume your soul and take you in, it was absolute mayhem.
Definately a must see DJ when ever he's in TO.... |
