I did that last week. Instead of jeans and a tee I threw on my nice stuff. I didnt wear a coat though, because it was 100 degrees out. I dont think Ill ever forget how to tie a tie. Its funny how much more respect you get when your suited up.

lol yeah. It is ridiculous too.

Ohh that's a really nice simple dress...aside from suits i need more dresses for black tie events. got a last minute invite to a nfl black tie event recently and had to scramble for a dress which i didn't like. i'm a sports person so i felt like i HAD to go since i have nothing to do with football and probably won't get another invite again. either way suits and nice dresses...dear god i'm turning into a real ADULT

personally i only like timeless looking suits and i'll buy from off the rack at nordstrom / nordstrom rack, i've never HAD to really be dressed in a suit all the time so i can slowly go through and pick things up here and there.

Awesome suits, awesome value.

Nice little monograms on the shirts, too!

I won't get into an argument with anyone here, it's pointless. People don't like to be told what to wear, but honestly I'm curious. What do you guys consider to be classic? There's nothing more classic than a slim fitted italian suit with a narrow tie. To me it just sounds like a bunch of guys in here just think they know what a good suit looks like and don't like to be told otherwise.

like srsly..

What it really comes down to is preference. Most people in this thread, don't like the style of suits that you prefer. Simple as that.

before i give you my argument, tell me why this is considered classic to you.(not the pic your description)

tell me how often you wear a suit.

tell me why a professional would dress like austin powers.

tell me you love me.

also what james bond aka sean connery is wearing is not even an italian suit.

I'm all for fitted suits, those are the only ones I own. But these are way WAY too fitted. And Karim is right, they give them this bell shape, narrow shoulders and wide hips...that's now how a suit is supposed to look. The more loose fitting suits are definitely more of an American style, there's nothing wrong with that. I don't like 3-button coats because to me they seem too "banker" looking. I prefer the 2-button for a night out because it can be both elegant/classy and informal depending on the color and rest of the suit (i.e. shirt, tie, shoes etc).

Exactly. They are too damn tight. Suits should never be that tight.

It's ing bond, there's nothing more classic than bond.

I wear a suit 2/3 times a week, ever since I can remember.

Tell me why not? I think a suit is an investment, it should fit like an armor. A suit should fit you, not the other way around. It makes me sick when I see these guys buy these ventless 3/4button suits that fit them like they were made for Queen Latifa.

I love you, champ. ;)

I used the pic for a narrow tie example, and I'm pretty sure Connery used Italian suits many of times while shooting as bond.

Look, I'm just ranting. I just seriously though people here had a knack for recognizing what I think are good looking higher end suits. No one here has to take my opinion into account, OBVIOUSLY. That doesn't make me the less qualified person to post what i think either. Cool story, bro. :thepirate
