You can still get tickets; they always hold a bunch back until just before the events. I know there are tickets available for Altes Muenchen Haus (Queensmount Arena) with Walter O on Saturday. Also, there are a bunch of lesser known venues that you can pretty much always grab a ticket for... Heidelberg Haus (moses Springer Arena) is a good example. Swing by the web site to order tickets or just stop by a venue near the start time (usually in the 6-8:30 range for Friday or Saturday nights) and you'll probably find a bunch of people selling tickets for friends that couldn't make it. Mrs. Hazard goes every year and has only once bought an advance ticket. |

NOTHING beats drinking in massive halls sitting on picnic tables hearing polka music (lol) ... and then imagine doing it like 4-5 times in a week . :disbelief |

i've done the aud before, and bingemans but i'd say concordia is the best place to go if you are going for the first time. you'll have to get scalped tickets though because it's been sold out for months. |

There are other things to drink and lots of great food; however, I suspect that neither would be of interest to you (German food is almost all pork). So really, Oktoberfest to you would be Polka and potato salad... if that's enough to get you sitting in a tent in October then sure; it's worth it. |
