I was excited when I was first able to take them out. Now I'm frustrated I can't put them back in. If I can't do it, I can't drive tomorrow, because my eyesight is that bad. The good news is, I can touch my eyeball with no problem. I can even rub the pupil part of it...:nervous: :nervous: :disbelief |
Did you stop for a couple hours? If not, go to bed now. You are getting stressed out and frustrated over it. I know I did. I had to stop for a few hours to finally do it when I first got them. |

Yea I stopped. But I gave it at least 10-20 tries throughout the course of the day. I'm going to go to the optometrist office and see if they can help me out. The doctor there got them in seconds. He knows something I don't. |

Did the eye doctor have you try to put them in while there? |

Yea, I tried for several minutes, but at that time, I was still scared of just touching my eyeball. Now, I've gotten over that fear. He told me to keep them in for a week, so my eyes get used to a foreign object in them. Take them out and clean them. I did all that, now I have just 1 more thing to conquer. They could probably talk me through it, or help me get that upper eyelid the hell out of the way. I have long eyelashes and relatively small eyes. |

I have long eyelashes also, but I remember that it took me a bit. I had to wear my glasses for about half the day before I succeeded. |

Do this to keep your eyes open ^
I got contacts in 8th grade, and freaked out. I'm a sophomore in Uni now and really could care less that I'm going near my eye. They're really quite simple to put in now.
Place the contact on your fingerprint, do the motion above, and bring your finger into your eye. It will latch on without you doing anything, and the contact is nicer to your eye than your finger ever would be. |

| I have a variation on that. I put the lens on my index fingertip. I use my middle finger to hold the bottom lid down, and my free hand to hold the upper lid up. This allows for more maneuverability and less chance to get ed up on my fingers. :) |

| I tried what iammesol does. I get my eye open more than ever before, but I still can't get that contact in. I dunno why it won't so that vacuum thing on my eye. Always get bent out of shape. I even force it on my eye, rub it on there, nothing... |

Don't force it. It should just suck onto your eye when you get it close enough. Also, make sure you are pushing it from the center of the contact. |
