I just stopped eating red meat.

Recently at this Halal meat place (i go for the BOMB ass schwarmas with the garlic white sauce) the guy was so nice he gave us a small plate of chicken and lamb gyro's. My boyfriend and I had to force it down. It was free but we didn't wanna be like " no thanks, we don't eat red meat " I love that place and plan to go back!

That was pretty much the last time we had red meat - before that since his Bday in February.

I'd love to be a vegetarian but I don't like the vegetables so that's a huge problem. White meat, bacon, turkey and the imitation crab meat (made with real fish though) are the only things I'll do now.

the only way i would become a vegetarian is if i was all of a sudden really informed about the meat packing industry or forced to become one. lol i chose to stay ignorant. however, i have started buying only the greenwise products (meat) from my grocery store which makes me feel a little better. it would never be for health reasons since i always have low cholesterol and normal BP & weight. and also since i don't really have red meat in my diet enough to begin with. like ben, it's mostly poultry for me. the only time i get red meat is if i'm out for dinner and i'm in the mood for a steak or something.

i love veggies and all kinds of weird food (tofu & salads and boca burgers). i'll eat anything, so if i for some reason had to all of a sudden become one, i think i'd be ok. the only thing i'd miss really bad is burgers. it's my favorite redmeat meal. and i mean REAL burgers....like make the patties yourself from seasoned top quality meat and top it with anthing and everything like blue cheese or carmelized onions..MMMM! i prefer a gourmet burger over a steak to be honest.

Being a vegetarian here isn't hard because most meals are consisted of rice and beans... it goes well with salad :)

I'm not officially a vegetarian but I eat less meat than any of my friends. I think I typically eat fruit and veggies and sometimes fish...

I'm really healthy and health conscious but I think it's more a matter of how we were raised than anything else. We didn't eat crap so we never got in the habit of eating crap, I guess.

I love love love herring.

I eat beef maybe twice a year. I eat chicken and turkey like 3 times a year. At home, I eat lamb so maybe once a year. I think that's it. Oh, pig. I dunno. I don't remember eating pig...

its just so damn good i don't understand how you can give it up :conf:. not only is it tasty and delicious but its good for you. lots of women are slightly to severely iron deficient (for obvious reasons) and red meat really helps.

don't you ever crave meat? i mean there are times when i just want a slab of meat or even better meat on meat on more meat. yum!!!

No, not really. Sometimes I wish I could eat some Chicken McNuggets... but it's just because I remember I liked it. That's all.
