It's Pittsburgh and Philly, with Alabama in between.

It must really make you proud to support the side that garners all of their support from these people.

BTW, by "these people," I mean my friends, neighbors and high school classmates that vote this way. I'm originally from less than 1.5 hours from Altoona and Johnstown. I've been talking about this problem since the primary. My mom tells me about her church's women's group talking about how Obama's the anti-christ and my aunt "doesn't like his name." What more do I need to stay?

they're their own people. i don't tell them what to think. i don't tell them how to vote anymore than you can tell your own parents friends and classmates how to think and vote, right?

those people are right about one thing. Obama is a socialist...

quote:

Plumber to Obama: “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more. Isn’t it?”

Obama: “It’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

:haha:

Obama is not a socialist. Why do right wingers always have to resort to scare tactics? What do you find wrong with allocating more resources to the middle/lower classes?

The difference is that you're proud of their views and your party benefits from their racism.

Similarly, I don't agree with the vein of left-wingers that decry whitey as the root of all evil. If you had any stones, you'd condemn the people that agree with you, but offend you.

Did the plumber state his income or occupation to Obama? Not that I saw.

For all I can ascertain, when he affirmatively told Obama that his taxes were going up, Obama incorrectly assumed that it was because the guy knew Obama's tax plans. All that it showed me was that the guy was an uninformed moron about the tax plan and that Obama didn't have the time to explore the whole situation.

I don't disagree with his comments about people who make over $250K, but who said that the plumber hits that requirement? If he does, I might want to start snaking toilets.

i half-heartedly meant that Obama is a socialist. to be honest i really don't know and can't pin him down definitively. (which in and of itself is problematic imo, but go ahead and trust the guy. i don't care)

...and don't look at me for an explaination, his words mean exactly what you consider the definition of taxation under socialism: “It’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

ok i condemn those people.:o furthermore where do you get off saying i'm proud of what those people say? i've never once used any of the racial or heritage arguments used against Obama.

never used "Hussein". never accused him of attending a madrasa. never accused him of being Muslim. never held the fact that he's black against him. never. my arguments against Obama are purely political. i use his own words, actions and voting record against him.

i said before the only things i care about in this election are taxes, defense and judges. plain and simple. if there were a black conservative like Michael Steele or Thomas Sowell or Janice Brown to vote for in this election i'd do it in a heartbeat and be damn proud no matter what a bunch of yokels in Western PA say.

That does not mean he advocates socialism in the sense of something like Huge Chavez socialism. The gap between the wealthiest and the middle class has been increasing exponentially. For what reason. I don't know yet. But I don't think that's a good thing. It's not about investments. Mainly, this bit of data...
