hahah yeah basically.
I gave up hockey when I was 17 though. faced a huge fork in the road with an injury, either soccer or hockey. I picked soccer, eventhough I porbably had a better chance going farther in hockey. |

2. A job as a CRNA.
|
I've been contemplating this. But after 1 year for accelerated BSN, another 1 yr. (minimum) of ICU, plus 3 years of CRNA school, DAMN! might as well go to med/law school. Yet there's also so many perks for taking the CRNA route.
I just wonder what potential healthcare reform may do to the field. |

So I'm working on an advanced degree, running a bit behind schedule, feeling stressed and anxious, burnt out...
...I ask myself, what will I do when I completely finish my education? Or not so much what will I do but what would I really like to do?
I think I'd just like to go home, turn the yard into 1/2 vegetable garden, 1/2 flower garden, teach 5 and 6 year olds how to read and write, how to sing, dance, paint, draw pretty pictures, I'd run before sun up, swim before dinner, go camping and backpacking in the summer...
Basically, I'd really just like to live a simple, healthy life. I wouldn't need a lot of material goods, not a lot of money...I'm totally overeducating myself when you consider none of what I'm learning will be needed if I really do what I want to do in life...
What do you guys want? What would make you feel happy and carefree? |
so after all the work, you want the scandinavian ideal?! i would like that too.
five year olds can be educated by stupid people. lol.
i hope to achieve what you dream, dear!
I have graduated, i *need* a job that can at least pay my way. with the current market - not happening. after that, perhaps grad school, but i honestly would be happy with any educated job here or especially outside of the states. i dont need glory, just happiness and relative calm. its too crazy here |

| I'd like to set foot on all 7 continents. I'd settle for skipping Antarctica if I had to. I'm 2/7 right now, would love to be able to knock Europe and Africa off the list in coming years. That said, I'd like to make those trips while always having a home to return to. |

i'm not much into bikes lately, ever since my Tassy got stolen. i ride a cheapo used Giant Yukon ($350, i'm still thinking of upgrading the fork, pedals, grips, and cranks). your "dream" is pretty much on par with my Tassy. It's an OK configuration, but these days, as a 'dream bike', I'd go for something nicer. No specifics, but it would have to be light. And that ain't cheap. |

also, from having experience with both hydraulic and mechanic disk brakes:
hydraulics were not messy at all, as people said
mechanics are not as well-modulated
hydraulics > mechanics |
