Bill Maher put it best-
"We are a progressive European nation being strangled by a bunch of rednecks"

I'm not calling people names, but no wonder we are so divided. But that's what democracy is and what REAL patriotism is...not waving some $2.99 American flag at a parade on Main Street.

More sex.

:whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:
sponger
then go live in progressive europe where unemployment is way higher than here!

love how liberals make fun of Bush for his mistatements, but when Biden makes them its ok.

i got a three letter word for you!! J-O-B-S haha dumbass!

No, he's cutting taxes for 95% of americans.

... Which would have prevented this financial crisis we're in right now.

The reason he doesn't attack her is because she attacks herslef. Plus, the last thing obama needs the day after the debate are headlines reading "obama, the sexist" PLUS he has way too much class to stoop down to her level of idiocracy.

im for more regulation in the financial sector obviously. But lets not forget the Obama & fellow democrats repeatedly voted against more regulation for fannie mae and freddit mac, and who also took huge amounts of funds from them. Now look at the mess. Mccain actually voted for MORE regulation on fannie and freddi 2 years ago. Obama did not.

actually he is not cutting taxes for 95% of americans, that is just wrong...

And 95% of americans may think the country will be better off with Obama's tax plan, thats the point, in order to gain votes. But that doesnt mean the economy or our country is going to be better off. Look at the big picture. Your cost of living will go up substantially once he takes office.

obama has stated he's for more regulation of energy and financial markets, which is all that's important at this point. our next president must recognize when a change of policy is needed rather than stubbornly pursuing the same failed agenda expecting a different outcome a la bush/mcsame. if you want to get technical about it, all of our economic clusters from enron to aig stem from reagan's deregulation movement in the early 80s.

i'm still not getting where you come up with the idea that obama's tax plan is a farce, you don't hear any economists, analysts or pundits stating the same thing. our cost of living will rise regardless of who takes office next, that's the result of indirect taxation through excessive money printing and monetary hyperinflation.

Because those that Obama plans to gouge with his largest tax increase in 30 years will find a way to trickle it down to us. They will place their wealth in off shore bank accts. Investors will invest more in foriegn markets. This is not what our economy needs right now in my opinion.

The "rich" are not necessarily the "dumb"

obama has already proposed closing off existing offshore corporate tax havens and giving out tax breaks only to american companies that create american jobs. the threat of corporations reincorporating in countries with lower capital gains and corporate tax rates is overstated. there are plenty of industries in america that can't be advantageously outsourced overseas. remember this country has been shifting from a manufacturing-based economy to a service-based economy for decades now.

1: Bash on poster, laugh and call them a libtard...
2: State a fallacy based on information you got by trolling another thread. Oh, and use a comic phrase. That's not irony Alanis.
3: List the names of 3 or more posters on the page who have called you out as an ignorant, uneducated idiot. Thus your attempt to "punk them".
4: Al Barrack Hussein.. there we go again..Your attempt to point out Mr. funny name. Is this TA or are you smarter than a 5th grader?

Get a brain.

I am just saying being obssesed over two politicans when it really isnt that different once in office is crazy. I mean you have people like osme of you here attack republicans and then the other side attacking the dems - to a personal level even - like this board already - way to go. This isnt necessary.

And guys, there is far more than just the president when it comes to handling the country...

If you don't think there are huge, clear differences between Obama & McCain you either aren't paying attention or have poor comprehension skills.

Just read their respective platforms.

Better yet, read this fantastic commentary:

He has proposed nothing new that the democrats of the last 40 years have been proposing, outside of the perhaps the largest single tax increase. Raise taxes, spend more of our money, more government regulation, control more of our day to day lives...again, what change rich?

And Jerk, your comparison to palin is obvious, why would he attack somebody with no experience, when he has none of his own. His advisors have advised him to stay away from that battle since day 1.

Josh you have an extremely poor understanding of Obama's proposals.

what they say publicly and what the new yorker says. Go directly to their websites and read for yourself. They list them in categories such as Iraq, Terrorism, Global Warming, etc. Read up on those and you will see most of them are the same. Like i said, what people say in the public is spun towards campaign attraction.

Uh, I've read both, and they are not the same.

The supreme court picks they are going to make ALONE will have lasting consequences for the direction of this country in the next 50+ years.
