Inland empire...what do you expect?
| quote: | A San Bernardino County Republican group has distributed a newsletter picturing Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on a $10 bill adorned with a watermelon, ribs and a bucket of fried chicken.
Linking Obama to demeaning racist stereotypes drew denunciations from various GOP officials after the illustration appeared in the October newsletter of the Chaffey Community Republican Women, Federated, the Riverside Press-Enterprise reported Thursday.
Diane Fedele, president of the group, said she had no racist intent.
"I never connected," she told the newspaper. "It was just food to me. It didn't mean anything else."
The Obama campaign declined to comment, saying it does not address such attacks.
The newsletter was sent to about 200 club members and associates last week by mail and e-mail. The club is a volunteer group that is not directly responsible to the state party, said California Republican Party press secretary Hector Barajas, who denounced the newsletter.
Fedele said she had received the illustration in e-mails and decided to reprint it to poke fun at a remark by Obama that he doesn't look like other presidents.
"It was strictly an attempt to point out the outrageousness of his statement. I really don't want to go into it any further," Fedele told the newspaper. "I absolutely apologize to anyone who was offended. That clearly wasn't my attempt."
Sheila Raines of San Bernardino, a black member of the club, complained about the image to Fedele.
"This is what keeps African-Americans from joining the Republican Party," she said. "I'm really hurt. I cried for 45 minutes." |

I wonder what Obama thinks about like this. The racism in this country is still so rampant and of course you ask the s who put this together, it wasn't intended as racist. :whip: :whip: :whip:
Ok! So its funny as hell but It is wrong. :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: |

Distasteful and not funny at all.
Let not forget the Democrats have the sitting senior Senator Robert Byrd who was a full active member of the KKK. And Byrd is still serving his democratic constituency. Now that is disgusting.
Also remember JFK voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act.
And Martin Luther King was a Republican.
There are douche bags on both sides for sure. But by far the most venomous, racist, bigoted, intellectually dishonest people I have met over the last ten years have been left leaning.
Political correctness IS censorship. |

You damn well know that everybody who saw that thought is was funny, doesn't mean it is but seriously, the woman who put this outthere doesn't see how this is racist.
Showed it to my black friends and they straight cracked the up. Obama is just outing a lot of racist people and that is a good thing to make people realize that racism is very much an issue in this country and pretending this doesn't happen everyday is laughable. I get treated like I should be parking peoples cars everytime I roll up to any event in the scene, believe me my friends poke fun at some of the I have to go through. So to me that food coupon is an absolute riot cuz it just ing figueres its some overweight ugly ass white person doing it, who's basis for choosing a candidate is race (my personal observation of the individual, doesn't make it true). :stongue: |

You can't say that all black people are gonna vote based on race, you do realize the historical aspect of this situation, as a minority individual, I'd like in my lifetime see a minority representative win the presidency, but most educated individuals are going to vote for him because he is the best men for the job and if blacks vote on a race basis its a pride thing and of course that is assuming that all blacks are Democrats, which they are not. The same can be said by alot of the midwest states (predominantly, white population) will mostly vote based on race and that's never been an issue because this is the first time in our history you have this situation, some will see this as white vs black and that is sad on both sides of course. At the very least its good to see that people who typically don't give a to vote will and if race makes them do it, its great to see them finally exercising the right that many people around the world are still fighting to obtain.
I preferred Hilary over Barack and his color had nothing to do with it, for me it was the fact that the Clinton years were by far the best for the economy in the history of this nation. Obama won me over with his positive outlook for this country and his willingness to address the issues with clarity. I am sure he will be a popular president both here and around the world.
Let me break it down like this, even if every black person in this country voted for the black guy, it wouldn't amount to a hill of poop.
US Population est 300 million (75% are of voting age)
73+% are white
12+% are black so when 73 percent yell ******, it affects . It is great to see that most of the voting population are not looking at Obama as the black guy, but as the positive direction for this country. If you look at the polls realize that most participants are white. Race issue over!
someone find me something like this that is racially charged against McCain.
