DEMF is a fun weekend get away that's pretty fuking cheap but even the festival itself wasn't so bad. There was other types of music that even my boyfriend got to enjoy (zabs alot and moby was just FUN)
and if you're only into techno then this will be your party/dream weekend.
I haven't done Ultra since 2005 but then again I did it from 2001 till 2005 so I'm kinda done with it.
BUT if you are open and love all types of music then WMC is good for you. loads of styles and loads of fun.
My favorite party will always be Black Hole Recordings Night 2005. never been back to WMC since then :( |

But if you can honestly afford it, take the middle of a work/school week off, and are like me (i dislike very much the outdoor stuff which is why I don't do Central Park gigs) then you will love Miami.
There is loads to do.
You can party 24 hours straight.
Weather + Good looking crowd
To say there isn't anyone you want to see there - is a crock of . I;ve seen more dj's at a WMC event and never seen them again at a local event.
Every party is raided with fellow DJ's just having a good time like you. Walking down the street you will bump into many dj's. It's a fun event for EVERYONE! |

I think everything is a must do at least once, twice if you like it and 3 times if it made you tingle in private places.:gsmile: The more people complain about it the more it makes me want to go, tbh. I want to see for myself and if it happens to suck, then OK...if it doesn't.. huraay!
And to say a city has no culture is such bullocks. It may not be YOUR culture but it doesn't mean it lacks it all together.:rolleyes: |

Of course. My mostly trance loving ass went to DEMF and ENJOYED it!
But WMC is different. These 2 don't compare what-so-ever.
If you prefer to do one party a year - then fine.
If you prefer to do the cheaper one - then fine.
If you've done it already and don't have any more hype for it - then fine.
But some of the bashing is just ridic. In all honesty - if it wasn't that I had a house down there already and friends with cars to hopefully drive me around since my car is stuck in NY - then I probably wouldn't go.
My boyfriend has never gone and I just mostly want to go so he can party like never before and see what I talk about when I'm on coke and ramble about my partying past.
DEMF was a good warm up for him. We were wrecked on the flight back home. HAH! WMC should be fun for him!!:crazy: |
