we've got moby, james zabiela, dirty south, bassnectar, sasha, steve lawler, dj three, dj dan, teifschwarz, audiofly, chris lawrence, sharam, opencloud, roy jones jr, donald glaude, Marcus Schossow, noel sanger, planet of the drums, ATB, crystal method, 4 strings, and a beatport party all lined up. i know its no LA or NYC for sure lolol but we do get a lot more than 1 or 2 headliners a year.

houston and austin also gets a good number of out of town talent roll through.

No doubt Dallas gets the talent. But, the overall clubbing experience is lacking.

18+ parties at the Lizard Lounge do not stand up to experiences I've had elsewhere. But, to each his own.

The best parties I've consistently been to in the states have been in Chicago.

Denver certainly has a healthy scene, no doubt about that.

DC gets listed because you can expect atleast two headlining parties per week here. let me explain.

Besides the fact the Ferry Corsten, Armin, Tiesto got they're first US gigs here, and Corsten/Ferry hold residencies that guarentee they spin atleast twice-three times a year here, along with Markux Schulz, and many other major european acts...

in the next month and a half we have:

4Play Thursdays @ Ultrabar:
10/23 - Max Graham
10/30 - Angello & Ingresso
11/06 - The Shapeshifters
11/13 - Seb Fontaine
11/20 - Steve Porter

Saturdays: Glow@Ibiza Nightclub:
10/18 - Eric Prydz
10/25 - Cedric Gervais
11/01 - Boris
11/08 - James Zabiela
11/15 - Josh Gabriel
11/22 - Sharam
11/27 - David Guetta (Thanksgiving Event)

also september's line up included. Deadmau5, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, and Victor Calderone, back to back.

Also on Saturday.....
Global @ FUR
they just had Kyau Albert/Lange, DJ Sammy, have brough ATB and many other major trance DJ's as a weekly party. Its currently a monthly party but the upcoming line-up is:
10/25 - Robbie Rivera w/ Zack Roth (Juicy Party)
11/22 - Darude.

DC has the 2nd largest EDM scene on the east coast after NYC. I would have said 3rd after miami, but i know a few former residence and they tell me DC has a much more consistent scene, and the miami is only great during WMC.

I went to Ibiza for Sasha and Digweed and did not like it much. I didn't know that Ultrabar brought in acts of that caliber, though. Nation was my favorite place before it shutdown.

Denver has spoiled me so. I will miss this place:

Go to any of those other cities and there a multiple venues that aren't holes.

hahahaha, i agree completely, that place SUCKS, i'd rather sit at home and jack off then go see any top DJ at that sewer... place smells like smoke, looks like a 1979 dumpster and the people that attend are all about 14 years old with fake ids all on drugs, makes me sick - and i bet if u asked 9/10 people who the dj is or the track playing, they'd say, "i don't know, i come because they play techno" - which is also another false statement unless someone like dusty kid or picotto is on the decks - which has probably never happened

too bad none of those dj's will have a proper showcasing...

the ONLY fun event i went to in the entire 6 months i spent in dallas was Junkie XL at Ghostbar... not to mention, it was free - that was the only place that wasn't filled with a bunch of scumbag kids...

and although dallas has numerous afterhours venues, they disgust me with the people who attend and the strip-clubs that they are made out of... if i recall, insomnia and eden are the names, then there's "jay's place" which is literally a "sports bar" turned into crackhouse/afterhours club from 8am-noon.... i've never seen so much open drug use in my entire life, i hope those places get busted because they suck so bad

best EDM cities in america:

I'd have to say that the best cities in america for EDM are probably Miami, NYC, LA, San Fran, Vegas (even though the people are fake and don't know about the music)
notable mentions:

Boston, Chicago, DC, Denver, Detroit

If you want good parties still in North America...

Toronto & Montreal are top notch

you are right sir.

i'd have to say L.A. and San Fran are a tie for me.
