It's still work-in-progress after 16 months but very close to being 100% finished. Platipus people are loving it too but no details on possible release yet... Fingers crossed! |

Whoah, 16 months! Deadmau5 would have finished sixteen solo albums by then, but that's the secret - to prefer quality over quantity. Great job with the Union Jack remix. I look forward to the forthcoming re-releases of their and Art of Trance albums.

I'm not really proud of being a bit slow with my mixes but especially with this kind of über classics it's nice not be in such a hurry. Surely sometimes great things come quickly and intuitively too! I've done some of my best (IMO) works in 48 hours and often the basic foundation and idea for a track comes in just couple hours.
Other one being longtime in the making is my remix of Way Out West's 'Ajare'. Also started over 12 months ago and now being in version #17 or something it's ready hehe:) Release of that is even bigger mystery as the label owning the rights (DeConstuction) doesn't exist anymore so dunno what will happen with that... |

PS. Whenever talking about "my remix" of 'Two Full Moons & A Trout' I have to give super-duper respect to Caspar Pound (RIP) as my remix is more like a remix of his remix of the original:) That mix from 1994 is one of my all-time fave trance tracks but doesn't fit to nowadays sets because of the tempo/production/ending so that is the original reasoning for making this mix.

I hope you have nothing against posting the direct download link, but of course I can delete it if you want to ;).
I also adore Caspar Pound remix and noticed some similarities before, like the breathtaking melody that kicks near the end of Pound's remix. Hopefully it will also get digital treatment and feature on Union Jack's album. BTW are there any news about your remix of "Ajare"?
PS. It's really nice to see you play Art of Trance. I was pretty sure you'll spin it as you've been supporting Berry's tracks from the very beginning, but "Swarm" hardly made it to any other trance DJs' sets. |

Nothing other than Nick Warren giving thumbs up for it but no news regarding possible release. We haven't given it to anyone yet...

Sure I'll support almost anything Simon produces. 'Swarm' isn't typical 2009 trance sound but that's exactly what makes it so fresh! Gotta love those 303s and the overall hypnotic vibe. And Union Jack's 'Papillon' is even better. |

I am still a bit hesitant about coming to Suvilahti, but if that Unity005 is any indication of what to expect, I'll definitely be there.
Brilliant stuff, especially since I don't even listen to trance that much anymore, and still it managed to hit the spot. I'll definitely be there on the 13th of June, pumping my fist like I was 16 again :p |

Tonight (Wednesday 17th of June) is the sixth episode of my Radio Unity show on Afterhours.fm and here's some info about it. I don't think there can ever be too much of great music but in June it's bit of the case with radio mixes. Seems that there is always great tracks around summer time when everybody's trying hard to score those summer hits.
Because of that wide range of music hanging around this month's Radio Unity will be a bit of a mixed bag with styles from deep and progressive trance, through summery prog house, tech trance, bootlegs, remixed classics and pumping french electronica to old school flavored emotional trance all present! Also many of my fave artists like Vibrasphere, BT, Way Out West, Allende and Jody Wisternoff are featured.
One bad thing with the podcast is that there's always those REALLY special and hot new tracks which you can't yet play in radio or podcasts. But maybe it's also good to have some fresh bombs in DJ's sleeves on live gigs. Hope you'll enjoy the mix and catch you live on Afterhours.fm message board! Here are the show details for hooking up:
