Jason LaFace-Fauci - aka JzL,Born Nov.2 1974, in Timmins, Ontario, Canada.
Main Influences: Armin, Schulz, Tiesto, Morph, Aly n Fila, BK, Sander van Doorn, DeadMau5, Schossow and my old technical death metal.
Jason is no newcomer to the music industry, he has spent 20 years in the Rock/Metal scenes and studied music majors with musicians such as Steve Digiorggio from Testament and Death. After which point he played with various metal & rock acts. With no surprise, technology is changing and with the ease of exposure via the internet and various channels, Jason decided to go back to his roots and try his DJ skills once again. Jason first started mixing tracks at 6 years of age with 2 cheap turntables and an old radio shack mixer. At the age of 12, Jason won a local DJ contest with CHNO 55 in Sudbury, Ontario. Due to a family loss, Jason pursued other means of music up until 2007. In 2007 was the birth of JzL. Jason obtained a DJ position at CKLU 96.7 FM and started The Trance Room which showcases artists and producers from all around the world. Within 6 months The Trance Room won for Best "New Electronica" segment in Northern Ontario. Overcome with huge amounts of support, Jason held residency with Deviant Audio in Norway. In 2008, Jason was welcomed to the mainstream market by his friends at Afterhours.FM. Since the beginning of 2008 JzL has played along side various artists, producers and Dj of all walks of life. Jason's primary focus is to help bring the Electronica Age to a new level by providing all artists a chance to showcase their productions or mixes on both his shows.
Jason has been featured as Artist of the week on Deepsound Music based in Montreal and his new track entitled "Blank Psychosis" has been hitting South Africa and Egypt by storm!
Look out for JzL's new tracks which is due to be released on Beatport, iTunes, HMV & HMV Digital, Yahoo Music, Ezune and all major retail outlets in North America at the end of August 2008 on Braincell-Productions, ElectroGroove Records and Padded Cell Productions
Jzl has syndicated the following guest mixes on CKLU, Deviant Audio & Afterhours.FM with producers such as Judge Jules, Leon Bolier, Markus Schulz, Preach, Mike Foyle, Sied Van Riel, Ben Alonzi & Steve Allen, Craig London, Mohammed Ragab, Adam Meza, Brandon Kovacs, Mark Sherry, Chris Lewis, Jon O'Bir, System K and many many more.
