i dunno man.. different cultures look at life differently. who are we to judge them? is it because we are taught to think we are better than everyone else?
im pretty sure she knew what would happen to her if she was caught committing adultery but she still chose to do so. if we had the death penalty in canada and you chose to kill someone and you get caught, it is nobody's fault but your own.
the kid's death was unnecessary though. |

Yeah but killing someone is a totally different crime. Adultery is still wrong but then who were they to judge her? I guarantee you that each one of the individuals who participated in her death were not perfect human beings so what position were they in to make that call? Do you really think she deserved to die for that? I dont think so. |

| it does not matter if it is right or wrong to us, the reality is that the rest of their world does not have to believe what we do and there is absolutely nothing that can change this. |

exactly
I mean it would have been one story if they stoned her for killing someone - eye for an eye so to speak
it's nothing to do with us vs. them |

There has to be a logical and reasonable limit to exactly what human rights a person has, regardless of cultural or religious difference.
Or else we'd accept stuff like slavery, torture and stuff like that just because it might be acceptable in other nations |

what one society thinks is right in regards to human rights doesnt mean squat in another society. that is how they live and they should abide by it.
there are countries where a person would get the death penalty for possession of drugs and thats why their drug use is so low. people know the consequences. |

laws are laws. it does not mean they are just
practical point of view says what we think means very little to other cultures, but if we don't speak out against stupid stuff, how else would humanity better itself? do we give such little rat's ass about plight of others? |
