I'm familiar with the process, it's just ridiculous to me that it takes thing long to get it done.
A Canadian election is 30 days, including campaigns. Voting is a 1-day thing with results posted in real-time as they are counted.
It took you guys the better part of a year just to decide who was going to run.

Sort of. The U.S. primary "season," which has no official starting point, has been getting longer for decades. This year's was the longest yet. |
