i see no reason why one's policies should be dictated by their relatives. i have plenty of dead relatives i wouldn't spare a dime to help, and yet im still an advocate of a moderate welfare state.

For anyone who ever put the slightest bit of trust in anything this creep said, read it and judge for yourselves. This is textbook plagiarism, the lowest of all intellectual crimes you can commit. When Josh pointed it out in that other thread, I thought it was a one-time thing, but this is now THREE times he's quoted verbatim from a right-wing website and passed the words off as his own.

Look, he simply articulates much better than I do exactly how I think and feel about most political related policies. When I've prefaced direct quotes in the past from him, just seeing his name is instant cause for you guys to dismiss the content of the words right away. When I leave his name out, I find that you guys listen a little bit more. If you ask me, "are those your words?" I'll gladly say no, they are Rush's. But I'm interested in discussing these topics with you people, and if leaving his name out is going to take away the up-front bias, so be it. |

Have you heard of paraphrasing? The problem with Rush and the rest is its not original thought. They are pushing an agenda. At any rate, you should be perfectly capable of sculpting out the same arguments using legitimate sources and referencing those sources. If you are not, then there is something wrong with your argument. |
