WMC Do's & Don'ts (pg. 2)

Do:
-Book a Condo with friends over booking a hotel(Cheaper usually when you split).
-Book your room by at least December/january before wmc.
-Buy presale tickets(willcall or pickup at wantickets store works although show up early to pick up tickets)
-Pregame before you head out to the club even if you dont mind paying for drinks at the clubs as this will save you some cash.
-Flask!!!!! lol
-To be safe show up a bit earlier to a club to make sure you get in to a night event even if you have presales(in my experience).
-keep cash on you for cabs.
-Check out the lesser known label parties. In my experience they usually have some of the best talent and the parties are usually more intimate and the dj interaction is great.
-Danny howells @ anything, AM only event(techno room/area is always great.
-Pack condoms.
-Get some rest.
Don't:
-walk around downtown past the club areas.
-go to ultra.
-go to surfcomber, shelbourne unless you love cheesed out commercial house(personal opinion).
-Overbook your schedule for too many parties. The elite few will go to all 10+ events but most will eventually crash and miss out on something b/c they take a small nap and end up crashing for a while. Plan your events carefully and include a free or relatively cheap event here and there that you don't mind missing(ex: bp pool party, nikki beach).
-go to ultra.

| It's so funny to me that none of this info is news to me and I'VE NEVER GONE! Over 5 years of club promo and I've never made it. But for 5 YEARS I've heard all about WMC from everyone I know for 4 months before, and 2 months after. It's torture every year. But since I'll be living rent free for the next 6 months or so, looks like I'm going this year. Got to get there while I've still got my hook ups :) |

Do GO TO ULTRA, it is awesome! I am biased on this cuz yes it will be my 4th year promoting for them cats.
Don't take friends that will totally you by having you pay for everything especially taxis (I somehow spent 700 dollars on that last march and not one single I was with lifted a finger to help me pay for most taxi cabs).
Do Check out Danny T 17 hour sets typically at Pawn Shop
Do get buck wild and do lots of drugs, cuz that's what people in Miami do or you'll feel left out if you just stand there like a sober dick (me before I stopped being a )
Do go to Space once, if you're gay, you'll end up hooking up with some buff gay dude from either NY, Chicago or LA. I just heard, it didn't happen to me.
DO NOT buy presale tickets for any club or you'll feel like a total dick when you can't get in cuz making an entrance at 11pm to most events is not a good idea and tickets are usually not honored cuz clubs are cool like that (read the fine print on ticket policies) Yes, they reserve the right to put it in your pooper if you show up after a certain time.
DO NOT OPEN UP A BAR TAB, OMG JUST DON'T CUZ DAMN!!! $300 a night can totally leave you in the poor house. |

| I live in South Fl for one and to all these people saying don't go to Ultra please do not listen to them. I have had my fair share of WMC experience already. If you have NEVER been to Ultra I recommend checking it out at least once. You get a handful of great dj's in one location with multiple stages. Last year's was pretty decent might I add the Carl Cox tent is outrageous! |

I agree with this...if uve never been to WMC then check out Ultra at least once and decide urself. ive been to wmc 3 times and have done ultra twice, had a great time both times, but prolly wont ever do it again. would rather do pool parties that day instead personally. carl cox tent is absolutely off the hook every year!
imo i always buy presales for any event i go to (especially the pvd/sander k event that sells out at space every year) and have NEVER had a problem getting in to any event ive bought em for.
