Hey guys.. so I was just wondering, a lot of us play out in clubs and bars here and get paid for doing so. But if you came across a situation where somebody wanted you to play alongside a big name DJ but can't pay you for doing it, would you do it?

Of course I would... Honestly, im only a bedroom DJ, without any experience playing in clubs, so i dont know how much harder it would be to dj in a club environment.... but just the thought of playing beside Armin Van Buuren or someone would just make me the happiest person in the world... just the experience of playing infront of hundreds or thousands of people would be enough for me... hell i would even pay for the flight ticket to europe just to play along side him

Honestly, if they can afford anyone big, what's the problem with a few 10ers for you then?

Of course you have to start somewhere though... If they're (=promoter) confident you'll stand your ground next to a big name, you should be more confident about yourself and realize you're worth at least a bit of $. Plain and simple.

I think the fact that I'm sitting here posting about this on the internet answers the question

Not much, going to Finland today for a gig this saturday. It doesn't earn that much, but all expenses are covered. Free food lol :p. Then again I'm not that popular, but things are starting to get better I must say :).
