Real name or DJ name? (pg. 2)

depends...some ppl (i.e. me) have a name that probably wouldn't go down very well as a DJ name lol
i'd say for example that ud rather be screaming "TIESTO" than "TIJS" or whatever his real name is lol
and i dont think using a dj name is a younger approach to things...sometimes u just have an affectionate nickname that ud rather ppl used |

| I have been toying with different monikers as a DJ, mostly as of late, and I think some names loan themselves to specific genres, of course this may also be because I write a lot of stories abut raves, so I have a tendency to make up DJ names a LOT. (Although I was going by Dr. Frostbite for a long time, that name has sort of passed, even though I still love it.) I decided I wanted a house name, so I was looking on my made up flier (It was for a series of short stories all taking place in the same rave.) and the name Moses Juggernaut struck me, so I kept it. If you have a name that naturally lends it self to being a DJ, then stick with that, but my name doesn't do that so I have to come up with creative DJ names. |

| I think it's a completely personal choice and one is not necessarily better or worse than the other. A lot of people insist that using a real name is more mature than an alias...but frankly sometimes a real name can be boring and pretentious, where an alias could be fun and more memorable... |

| I use my real name when I DJ, but I release stuff under aliases. Mainly because I don't think I'm good enough yet and I don't want to ruin my good name. I'm a perfectionist though, so I doubt I'll ever produce under my real name. |

I've taken these aliases: Daniel DeLarc and Paulo Da Costa.
They are completely random, taken from those "What's Your blablabla Name?". But i like how they sound so I'll use them.
