I need a bit of help on this.

After running an active x control somewhere , ive been infected with a particuly harsh virus.
Im not bothered about my FL and plugins because i can reinstall them , but ive got a few freeware things like glitch , proteusVX and a whole load of samples.

The virus Explore.exe/opnLaBur.DLI has disabled all my kaspersky 2009 antivirus and removed and deleted all drivers for my cd rom drive. As it is discovered , it launches and i have to go back to a restore point.

Ive downloaded a few freeware search and destroy things but when they find the file mentioned above it shuts down my PC.

And all restore points bar the current day are not accesable.

So i need to get all my samples and stuff of the comp and back on somehow. I thought a External HD would work but it might take the virus with it.

Has anyone any tips or recomendations on how to get rid of this little bastard or is a external HD the answer?

yup it is , a full restore i think is in order but i need to rescue a ton of stuff before its lost for ever
Subtle
Reinstall Windows on a new partition or harddrive, that way you can just grab whatever u need from your other harddrive, and you wont be affected by the virus.

yup

the virus has disabled any antivirus, even kaspersky 2009 , supposedly the best antivirus since sliced bread, ive shifted all important files regarding my production on to another pc and i am nearly ready to recover the HD .

ok you have some options you need to install some new antvirus and spyware remover.i can give you some links in order to do this.it wont cost a penny and once you have dowloaded the new virus software, then here are some key steps to take. first turn of system restore then turn off your net connection. once you have copleated this install the new software. its very important that you dont turn on the net/system restore untill the new software has done what it is made fore.sounds like you have a hacker virus and so it will continue to up the pc untill you have followed my instrutions.
like i said if you need software let me know.
