Redecorating my room

I am in need of some ideas. I'm re-doing my room from scratch. The only thing decided on so far is a bed. It's pine, and it looks like this:

Things I will require / need to do:
- Curtains (or blinds?)
- Duvet and pillow cases
- Sheets
- Paint walls
- Carpet
- Lampshade
I haven't decided what I need in terms of things like a desk, wardrobe, drawers etc. yet - But they will, as would make sense, be pine as well. What I do require though inspiration with colour schemes for the above!

| just check out ikea, go to one if you have one... they have billions of things, and do sample layouts of rooms and apartments. itll save you a ton of cash. |

yeah. and last a cumulative year and a half.
find furniture liquidator warehouses. that's the best way to go to get some solid furniture cheap. don't get gangstered into the whole IKEA "we'll build it for you" . do your own designs and get creative. pick and choose.
for my apartment i also hit up police auctions (i dunno if they have that across the pond). but it's awesome. you get all this great furniture from drug dealer mansions for a fraction of the cost. |

| By the way, I'm not asking for storage solutions or anything. Just design ideas and colour schemes for curtains/duvets/wall colours/etc. My bird says I've got the design skills of a blind badger. |
