++ I know many a TA who could do a marathon but only if it ran 1am to 6am and Danny Howells on decks the entire time |

Do share the tunes!! I'm training for Boston (10th marathon) and need new music!!
I ran Philly last year and really enjoyed it. They say it's flat and that the 2nd 1/2 is easier, but for me it was the other way around. There are some nice down hills in the 1st 1/2 so take advantage of them! The miles in Manayuck are at a slight up hill so take your time there until the turn around. Around mile 23 there are frat boys handing out beer! Have a great run!!
Oh and one of my secrets to running fast is stopping to walk at the water stops.. especially at every one later in the race. By walking through the water stops for 10-15 seconds I actually run my miles faster. |
