Well, we've finally got it at GNC... the REAL stuff... just had 1/2 of one of their 7 hr energy shots & it's doing the same as a 1/2 can of the biz I've been getting from the States for years. So no need to deal w/ that at 7-11...

Hurray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll let her tell the story, but the experience we had at Mel's was deplorable.

Same here.

As for poutine it's good but only b/c I don't have it a LOT. Otherwise I'd be disgusted...something that rich should not be eaten often.

It makes my blood boils even thinking about it.

This is what I wrote on blogTO about the experience:

"This was the worst experience at a deli/restaurant/service place I have ever been involved in.

This 24 hour diner has the worst service in the city.

We showed up at 2 a.m. craving poutine after a late night of working. We drove up and decided to get the poutine to go but when we saw some people sitting outside we decided to eat our poutine outside on the patio. We were immediately told that we were not allowed to eat outside on the patio eventhough another couple were just served drinks out there. I asked why they were allowed and I was told that they were VIPs and they could do whatever they want (as those people laughed at us). So since we already started eating our food we wanted to eat inside and not get our car dirty with the gravy. We were pretty much thrown out by the 5 dirt covered thug workers and said that we couldn't eat there since we ordered take out. There were plenty of seats inside (only one table was occupied) and it wouldn't have been any issues for cleaning up after us since we had everything in a styrofoam box. We were told that since we ordered take out we have to leave and that every restaurant would say the same thing (what?).

Even McDonalds would let you sit down even if you ordered take out.

I couldn't believe that such service is even possible in someone's mind that owns a place of business.

I hope that no one ever go eats there just like I will never go eat there."

Anyways, the worst part was that I really love poutine and that the experience ruined my enjoyment of a food I like. I was so hungry but I couldn't even take a bite. SOOOO ANGRY! No only that, RJ and I fought about it for some crazy reason. Probably because there was only us around to take that anger out. So I say again, MEL'S DINER. DIE!

Really? Cause I saw this on Chowhound -

I don't think they will be open for Thursday. I was inside talking to the owner, The Kitchen is complete but Front of House is not even close to being finished. Most likely the following week. If they do open this Thursday, thats impressive.
