only thing negative about weed is the mental effects of too much consumption (i.e. marijuana psychosis and of course long term smoking heavily results in schizophrenia) |

You'd be surprised at the lengths the americans would go if that were indeed the fact. Total chaos for truckers passing the borders....trades would be hampered significantly. I just learned this in my 4th year Alcohol and Drug Use in Contemporary Science class - it's actually a really informative class on drug use in present times!
The conservatives are 100% with the americans on their war on drugs so to speak.

I'd call the Yanks bluff
Because US Customs is not equipped to dealing with massive border checks, and it will be US industries that'll be sending angry messages to the White House due to delays in shipments.
edit: Harper let abortion thing pass. You'd think he wouldn't take same pragmatic approach to legalizing pot, when there might be enough public support for legalization? |

that would take discussion back to the "too much of anything is bad for you". Water intoxication or "hyperhydration" is due to simply drinking too much water. And im sure we all know what too much alcohol does, or too many cigarettes...
and to think this is probably the worst that weed can do...pshh ;)

| I have to admit..i do know several people who have smoked for most of their teens and adult lives..and have a serious case of the "stupids"... I am certain that it is due to their marijuana consumption... |

I've studied cannabis for years and written a number of thorough papers on it: I've never heard of this phrase.

Wrong.
Individuals with latent schizophrenia may see the disease manifest itself to a greater degree with marijuana use. However, I do not think it is accurate to suggest that marijuana use--short or long-term--causes schizophrenia. |

LOL! The way that I read this makes it seem like you were there...stirring moonshine in your bathroom with a spoon.
