I knew nothing about them except for their name, prior to seeing the picture. :stongue:

Oh, LOL. I wasn't trying to sound condescending...I just know you have experience with hardware, midi, and live pa stuff...so I thought you had seen their setup and already knew. My bad.

Well, for the record, when I saw them "live" at Metro last year or so, there were about two knobs on their controller surface that got love...the rest of the time was loading stuff up on laptop. That aside, the music was absolute . Even threw in a Metallica remix.

That's not a MIDI cable, it's a USB cable. USB is also capable of providing power to devices.

i know the difference between usb and midi, the mpd 24 have both on it and neither of them are plugged in. that is all that matters.

No worries...we'll save this for our next face to face conversation...besides I was typing all that crap on my blackberry with my sausage fingers... and apparently it all came out incoherent.:gsmile:

sure, there's artists that play the same show every weekend, have everything already synced and ready to rumble for their live performance. not everyone though, and the most fun about a party is when the artist is actually 'interacting' with the crowd by performing to a specific atmosphere + crowd... BLAH.

besides the point, turning knobs on a controller that is unplugged is lame, at least throw some modulation or filters on there, can't be that hard can it?

Congrats.

What you said originally was "it would be one thing, if the midi cord was gone but the power cord was still in.". How would it be any different to have a powered device with no way to transmit data, than to have a USB cable which was both providing power and transmitting data become disconnected?

I'm not defending Justice, I'm just pointing out that what you said didn't make any sense.
