It seems to be the perfect size.... usually the place just fills up to th perfect amount, not too empty, but not packed either.... but obviously for some bigger events the place hits capacity pretty early.... on those nights I wish FW was bigger but for the most part the place does seem to be the perfect size for the crowds and the events it holds...

They bring in the sorta mid-level DJs in terms of popularity (ie. not mainstream guys like tiesto, carl cox, digweed, etc.) and the size of the venue is perfect based on the crowds those DJs bring in...

good call, sometimes they need just a bit more space for those bigger events, or random nights where everyone decides to party ha ha

These guys are absolutely DOMINATING right now, and seem to be the only ones that have figured out how to consistently fill up a mid-sized after-hours club in this city. IMO, there is no other place in the city that has the consistency of crowd, vibe, diversity of patrons, quality of music, etc. No small feat, given the long list of failed attempts and wannabe competitors.

Could they do it? Would they want to do it? If the space is available (I have no idea), should they do it? Would such a move doom them to failure?

There are lots of other businesses that move locations, maintain their customer base, and continue to thrive and prosper. Why would this be any different?

Man, I loved that Boa/Sonic space.

Thoughts?

Can you really consider Footy a mid size club???

<3 fw. don't change!
The Highroller
We all know how much of a fan our good friend Adam Vaughan is of granting new liquor licenses in his district. That would be the first problem I'd guess.

Also, Sonic/Boa space is quite a bit bigger than FW, and I'd assume that the rent would be a lot more expensive (although I could be wrong).

That said, I'd love it his happened. The acoustics of that room just could not be beat.

I would consider FW a midsize club..... we have to remember that the GUV is an unusually large club, I would call it a 'super' club.... because if we did say the guv was only a 'large' club then basically all clubs would be medium size at most, and FW would probably be considered small

Yah not sure...

up to 200 is small...

200 to 500 mid size...

500 to 1000 big...

1000 + super...

Just what I figure...

Not to detract from Footy...

Always had a good time there...

Fotty fits at max 320.

no thanks...footwork is good the size it is. generally, i don't really enjoy larger clubs. actually to be honest, i never really had the transcendant experience that everyone else seemed to have at boa/sonic. then again, i only went a handful of times.
