What if Footwork moved to the old Boa/Sonic space? (pg. 6)

footwork really works in part because of the atmosphere of intimacy you get - that goes for the partiers there, the staff, the owners, and the djs.

every dj i know who's played there loves playing there. the setup is fantastic, the sound is good, you are RIGHT THERE with the crowd. makes it a great vibe. a lot of really bigger name djs that do play there enjoy it more than playing big clubs for this reason - you have to factor that into the vibe factor as well.

i love playing there for that reason and more, but i thought i'd mention that as a counterpoint to the occasional problem with it being rammed when a big name plays. yes it'll get rammed, but on the other hand, its ON!

Oooooooh... the name drop.

So for the record, you're calling this person a liar then?

Give it a rest Evan
Joel told me once they spend a lot of time dealing with residents nearby who have issues with the noise. I tend to believe him over you, as should most people.
Fin Finnegan
There are no more noise complaints...

Footwork has been soundproofed and the volume levels are kept at the legal limit.

Also no alcohol at Boa. Sure the club tried to overcome this by raising the cover but would the majority of FW's patrons pay more?

pay more to lose the right to drink? No thanks!

we don't get a lot of complaints. At least not recently. We are very careful about keeping the noise at a reasonable level.

It also works out for your club-goers too. It's nice to go to a club and not have my ears hurting within an hour of getting in if I forget my earplugs. Keep up the good work on your sound!

You can hear the music if you stand in that park on Adelaide right by the club. That's pretty loud.

the park? ahhh i dunno about that. walking by immediately on adelaide, beside the club, yeah you can hear a bline of some kind, but there's doors that empty from not 4 feet from the club's bassbins right there on the sidewalk, so that'd be hard to avoid.
