Long story as to why I needed to post this question for responses, so I'll skip the background. Basically, I want to know, when you hear the word 'rectangle' THINK OF A RECTANGLE in your head, just a picture of one, then scroll down to make sure you didn't think about your natural response before knowing the question

Was the rectangle a tall rectangle or a short rectangle?
Kirby
Sorry, I meant to say 'LONG' rectangle, not short!
Nightmonger
I imagine it Long ... but don't ask me why ... :toothless
Julie_Spyder
i must say Long... cuz you think of a box..
DuMonde TrAnCeR
long, because i the rectangle was tall it would easily fall over and become a long rectangle, and wouldnt be able to resume the tall position!
jonsimmonds
tall, dunno why though
davinox
that is so dumb.

you claim to use single letters so we would think of the Rectangle before the answers...but the answers are in the title!!!!!

I think most people think horizonally, it was probably part of our evolution, because of our need of periperal vision, which was needed to detect predators. That is also why we have widescreen tvs, cause they are naturally better suited to our peripheral vision.
