Im sure this question has been asked millions of times on this forum so sorry to those who continuously look at threads like this...
But i really want to create my own trance. Right now im checking out Ableton Live, which seems ok but i need to download more samples ect.
What would be the best program to use?
Thanks |

| I think Live and Logic tend to be the programs of choice |

It's an Apple program so I don't think so. |

Not yet;)
Also, I wonder if any producers use Pro Tools to make EDM? BTW that's pretty much the mother of all sound production programs. |

For a professional studio recording live instruments yes Pro Tools is amazing, but for a home studio producing electronic music, it is WAYYYYY overkill, and I think it doesn't handle MIDI as well, but I think they addressed that issue in their last update. |

ok thanks for the posts guys...just one more thing.
Im new to all this...iv listened to trance for a few years but in terms of production and mixing, i have no idea. Is there a place where i can read about all the different things involved in it, rather than me posting random threads full of questions?
Thanks |
