I base my choices on Djs I like to hear. I 've seen all three I saw before and they really impressed me. I just hope that this year they will book new faces, both for the house and the trance room. I do understand that bnb books big headliners to attract more people but there is another crowd who should be respected too, whatever!!!! |
i totally agree but we can't overlook the obvious: bal en blanc are whores
they're much more into attracting as many ppl possible rather then satisfying the few who know whats up |

yeah, and take a guess what that crowd is :p
Is it just me or is Black and Blue going more and more for the straight dollar and BeB for the gay? |

ok let me rephrase
what were the odds they would be spinning at guv on the weekend of sensation
and yeah my bad sensation
whether the rave was good or not is irrelevant.. question at hand relates with the dj
their methodology IS bringing big names. so instead of guetta, bring prydz |
Isn't he playing a 10 hour set according to your previous post? :p
Prydz would make sense based on their business model, and yes, his sets are far more palatable than Guetta.
As for the odds of those djs spinning at two venues, it makes sense for both the djs and promoters to try to attempt a double booking if the cities are close together and the djs' calendar necessitates such a scenario. |

True on short term for fast money to book little stuff with a big name event, but on long term it's no good to do that |

if u go thru old BeB threads you'll see this argument (and this thread, for that matter) is old for some of us.
However, that "Bal en Blanc are whores" quote is priceless. |

what is that pryzd everywhere like he is the ultimate booking? Bal en Blanc did brought you Pryzd at one of your favorite venue Stereo a year and a half ago. Turn out 300 people they lost big $$$ Bal en Blanc booked him for the first time ever in Montreal how many of you requesting him was at that party?
I see a lot of you requesting big international names but i am one to think that a Montreal party should have a good amount of Montreal DJ with the amount of talent we have here. People should really support more the local scene...
i Think every massive in town should be open and close by a local my opinion... but i will take somebody like Victor any day to ;-) |

| Well, let's not forget that Prydz was booked on a Sunday, same night then Black & Blue... Not really winning conditions. I think indeed, Prydz would be a nice booking as he appeals to everyone, from the pop crowd to the underground techno crowd. |

I agree with this.
He rammed Club Heaven in Ottawa that Friday :gsmile: and would have packed Stereo too, imo. Guv had its anniversary too, so it was prolly slim pickings (kind of like having Tiesto on Jan 1 booking with ppl having to work the next day, not that I personally care).
I wonder how this sort of crowd would react to this dj who'd have his head down the whole time though :p |

oh please THATS BS
I had no clue Prydz was booked by BeB LMAO!!!!
Prydz was booked 2 days after Carl Cox and Garraud
How are you gonna expect people to marathon it
Either it was a bad coincidence, or the most retarded event planning since since Sensation (which both, my friends, were presented to you by yours truly, Bal en Blanc) |
