No, you're not getting old. I've had these same thoughts.
After thinking about it, my theory is that this decade is much more fragmented than others. What I mean by that is that it's entertainment overload. We're exposed to so much more than before that it's hard to pick out any specific influence of this decade. Also many genres and styles are mashing. I think the next decade will be even worse as we become more connected and integrated. |
