Why are you such a douchebag? |
How?
A bios upgrade is ing nothing. You download a program from the site and run it and bam its upgraded. Changing a CPU is much harder. |

A CPU upgrade is harder in one sense, but it is far easier to brick your computer with a BIOS upgrade than a cpu upgrade. |

| By mid 2009 we'll have affordable, 500GB solid-state hard drives... now there's a real upgrade :) |

Kind of. SSDs still have a long way to go. They have little to no benefit at this point. Cost is not the only real world factor I am looking for. I want a drive that performs better than current SATA drives. Not one that performs at or below current drives. |

| dude stay clear of bios unless you know what you are doing. if the bios can not take the new hardware then updating wont make any diffrence.best bet look up bios manufacture and call tec helpline. they can tell you best way around the problem. :D |

Dude, you guys are really overreacting on the BIOS upgrades.
The programs check to make sure its the right one for you and they even verify after it. It's pretty much foolproof. |

Yeah, tell that to all of us that have burned up our BIOS in the process. |

Sorry chief, BIOS flashing is about the easiest, when is the last time you flashed one? Have you ever? |

| Alright, after talking to Nick (r5a) a bit, I would say flash it. Since they changed all the flasher utilities to be nice and pretty (aka no commands need to be issued) feel free to do it. It is safe this way. |
