| It's a tight job market, and only will get worse. My IT company is in the process of laying off 25,000 people (7.5% of its WW workforce), and 6 more people I know have been layed off on Monday at my office. |

| IT jobs in toronto suck and the pay is sad, Do what I did, get a job for microsoft in the usa. Last time i knew VMware was hiring. |

I work in IT and right now we are not replacing the guys we are letting go.
My suggestion? Work on your certs. Prepare yourself. Don't listen to the naysayers saying that certs are useless b/c they are actually helpful. And in the meantime, keep on plugging away sending out resumes. Keep your head up and push through because eventually you will be given a chance. |
